Kids Stuff

Dottie’s Magic Pockets (pre-K thru 1st grade)

Dottie’s Magic PocketsDVD and CD are for all of today’s families – with images especially important for kids in gay and lesbian families (and their friends and families!). Along for the fun are Dottie and her friends James the Flower, Uncanny the Singing Can, Motilda the Mouse, and Randal the Beaver.

Dottie has now been all over the world, playing in film festivals in New York, London, Toronto, and Melbourne, in Frameline and OutFest, on two R Family Cruises, and is now in 100+ libraries in the US and Canada. We’ve been a Cool Moms Pick (twice!) and have had many other fabu folks tout us. This is a fun, education, and necessary show for all kids – thanks for spreading the word!

Snail’s Dixie-Rag Jazz-Land Bone Band (pre-K thru 2nd grade)

Snail is Marshmallow Meadow’s famous orchestra leader who conducts with his antennae. Decked out in his finest bow tie, he gathers a group of ragtag insects and reptile musicians. Together they are determined to create the finest music in the meadow with instruments created from old bones, leaves, and discarded snakeskin.

Moxie’s Peculiar Patchwork Jacket (1st thru 4th grade)

When Moxie’s dads give her a patchwork jacket for her birthday, little did they know how much Moxie would truly fall into fashion!

After Moxie touches the beautiful beige patch, she and her best friend Hank are transported to a new world – one that matches the exact color of the patch! Stunned, they find themselves in a totally beige world – the sky, the ground, the trees – everything is beige! Is it sand… or what?

Just as they start to panic, Lady, the ladybug on Moxie’s new scarf comes to life and introduces herself with a loud burp – “I adore Mexican food even though it puts my ladyhood in jeopardy!” Between interesting science and nature facts, Lady helps Moxie and Hank solve the riddle of the new world so they can return home.

In the second book of the series, Multi-Colored Circles to the King, Moxie, Hank, and Lady meet a lost prince who has been surviving by eating his freckles, which are actually button vegetables.  When they find the King, he doesn’t recognize his son without his freckles, so they have to convince him it is truly the prince…
